MANA del Norte
Empowering Latinas through education, community service, leadership development and advocacy.
MANA del Norte (MDN) is a local chapter of MANA, a national organization that works to support educational and economic outcomes for Hispanas and Latinas. Our local chapter serves girls and women in northern New Mexico, and has been in existence since 1989!
Currently, MDN provides scholarships for Hispanas and Latinas pursuing higher education who are from Northern New Mexico. We put on an annual Luncheon for the scholarship awardees and their families, and connect recipients with professional women of similar backgrounds to create a strong network of support for greater economic and educational success of women in Northern New Mexico.

Join the MANA del Norte Membership
Join the Hermanas, one of the largest networks of Latinas and Hispanas in the United States. Through your MANA del Norte membership, you will have the opportunity to network with others in the state as well as with other chapters nationwide at the annual National MANA Conference.
As a MANA del Norte Member you will join other Hermanas in:

Apply for the MANA del Norte Scholarship
The 2025 Scholarship Awards are currently being reviewed.
The online Application for 2026 will be open next April.
Applicants must be a current or former resident of one of the following northern New Mexico counties: Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, San Miguel, or Taos.
Each year 10 scholarships in the amount of $1000-1200 are awarded to selected recipients who will be honored at MANA del Norte’s Scholarship Banquet, held annually during National Hispanic Heritage Month, mid-September through mid-October.
This year, MANA del Norte’s scholarship event will be on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
